Post fuel injector rebuild uk ?

Anyone got a recommendation of someone in the UK that I could send my injectors to for a service/rebuild. I'm back on to trying to track down my rough running/surging problems.

I thought I remembered seeing a mention in previous posts but I didn't find anything in a search.

Cheers
Dave

Hi Dave,
Try JZ MachTech 07000 100 911

or Tognola 01753 545053

Thanks John.

I'm going to send them to Tognola. £18 per injector and a turnaround of 2 days. That'll do me!

Cheers

Dave,
If you are going to refit them to the fuel rails yourself, do NOT use the Porsche kit. It is very expensive, and the pipe lengths are wrong ! You can just use high pressure fuel hose, cut to length with new clips.

Thanks again John, I was going to go for the porsche parts but I will now see if Tognola can supply hose to the right length. I'm going to remove the injectors this weekend and put them back in next weekend, I will report back on how things go.

This is one of those times when it's so useful having two cars of the same spec as it let's me send a set of injectors away without having to put 'char grilled' off the road for a week.

I've just noticed that you've got an 86 S2 too! This is my favourite spec of 928: The old body style, a 310bhp engine and S4 brakes/suspension. Heh Heh.. very entertaining!

Cheers

Hi Dave,
The kits have a pipe length of 40mm, the correct length is 50mm (from memory) I have a spare set in my garage on the rails if you need exact length.

You need to be careful pushing the injectors back onto the hose, so you don't damage the pintel.
You can get the little cups as per the OEM assembly from Porsche if you don't want to use clips. My refurbed ones have cups at the injector end, where clearance is tighter, and hose clips the other.

Yes '86 S2 are great cars. I don't like the S4 body - more like a whale than a shark !

My car is Prussian Blue also............
