Thumbs up THANK YOU DEVEK!!!

Well - after all the fighting, fuming, misunderstandings, ruffled feathers, fingerpointing, etc. <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" /> etc. <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" /> etc. <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" /> from my previous "What's the deal" post on DEVEK, all's well that ends well.

My belly pan problems and frustrations are over! <img border="0" alt="[jumper]" title="" src="graemlins/jumper.gif" />

AS PROMISED by Devek yesterday - the elusive 'adapter' bracket arrived this morning via UPS OVERNIGHT!

It took me all of 15 minutes to install. AND - I must say this is truly a QUALITY piece! To tdealarm and the others that are considering ordering one - JUST DO IT! Based on my problem, I am sure that the bracket omission was a one-time event and that you will NOT have a similar frustration!

Thanks DEVEK - you proved yourself in my book! Your investment in the overnight shipping to me will be repaid many times over! (Headers are next!) <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

And the great part for Timmy is that he has the S4, and the Devek pan fits on ithat car without any adapter brackets.

Glad it worked out well for you!

Jim -
It was $250 for the pan, but the 'pre-s4' models also need the adapter @ $95...so $345 total. I really like the adapter, in that it tucks into the lip of the front spoiler and gives it significantly more strength.

MUCH less than replacing ANYTHING under the shark that might hit something without it!!!!

Here's the link to their info on it...

Susan is great.....

I made three purchases through DEVEK while I was refurbishing my intake and the parts were ontime, everytime - no BS. She also made certain of the parts physical pressence in the building before she would commit to a delivery date....

Good job Susan

I have always had good service from Devek, although not asking too much from them yet. Maybe we should have some posts stating our good experiences with some of the vendors? I'm getting kinda tired of the finger pointing and yelling. I think that bad experiences should be allowed, but should at least be balanced by all the help we have recieved from said vendors.

Glad to hear that you are now happy Mark. Question? I do not have the belly pan on my 86.5. Benefits?

Dave

The people at DEVEK are extremely nice people. Every time I've had a problem, they've gone out of their way to help. I don't even remember what my car was in for once, but a week after I picked it up from them, Susan called just to see if everything was O.K. with the car. Even the last time I stopped by to pick up an order, I mentioned the engine started differently than normal and Marc went out to the parking lot to listen to it. I'm sure there are a lot of similar experiences with other owners because usually Susan is on the phone answering your questions while she's writing up my order.

I have to say that it's also nice to drive up to the shop and see 10 or so 928s parked outside.

Ketch -

#1 benefit - PROTECTION! Running over even a small rodent without it can cause some $IGNIFICANT damage!

Also - is supposed to greatly improve the airflow, and help to prevent hot, 'dirty' air from re-entering intake - especially when standing still. Not to mention - that it helps to stiffen the front spoiler/air dam!

But - back to the protection thing...just look down there...how low is the AC compressor...alternator...oil pan, etc....I'd MUCH rather put a dent into a piece of protective aluminimum then: pay for a tow home, have the shark out of commission while I awaited the arrival of the new component and then wait while it was fixed...AND - WATCH as my credit card balance skyrocketed to pay for the repair and damage to the component(s)!!
IMHO - The DEVEK pan is VERY CHEAP 'insurance'! (Plus - it looks really cool!)

Mark and all,
Thank you for your support! We work very hard to provide services and products that enhance ownership of the Porsche 928. We provide free tech info for a lot of 928 owners, and turn away no one and treat everyone fairly regardless of their purchases, or lack therof.

We develop, design, engineer, test and manufacture products that work as advertised, do not break, are unique and cost effective to install.

We appreciate your loyal support and patience, and given the chance over the long term, we perform as well as our products!

Thank you,
DEVEK and gang
