Uh, hopefully that 30K miles of driving per year isn't in LA county, or it'll take you ALL YEAR to rack up that many miles!
Rob-I'm definitely bringing the 911, I can't afford to sell her, and lock in all of the losses! She's been the beneficiary of my wallet for several years now. I'm planning on sampling all SoCa has to offer in the car sector. We will probably be in North SD County, but South OC is a possibility too.

I think of your 928 as a sister shark to my wife's white '91. In fact, she wants to paint the rear wing white & get the aero mirrors like yours. Hmmmmm maybe I could talk her into buyin yours & sellin hers!! I like the tan interior more myself with the white exterior. Unfortunately, I know she'll say that she likes the dark blue interior more & her's is a very nice 928, just turned 47k miles too. I'll mention to her that you're selling yours & give my best sales pitch!!

In salute to your 928 ownership Ed, here's two pics of our white '91, one with Pamela driving back from SITM '07 & one on display at Rennsport Reunion in Nov. Then a couple of pics of your gorgeous white '91 at SITM '07.

Best wishes Ed, you and your 928 are first class all the way in my book! Like many say on here, you'll be back!! Least I am certain that all of us are hoping so!!
Thanks for the kind words Mel, and the SITM pics. That brings back memories of the best road trip I've ever taken! (Well, I did take some pretty good ones in my younger days, but they were good for different reasons).

I didn't know how a great 928 drove until I was in Ed's car and it is the example that I am shooting for on mine.

Hate to see you go Ed.

Thanks Sean. I think this would be a great car for Angela.....

Yea, no ****!

Sterling called me today saying I needed to sell one of ours so I could pick up that '88 6.4L. For the $$ I'd rather have yours.

I saw this car in action personally all the way up from Dallas to Banner Elk last year and Ed is saying it like it is, his 928 is in my opinion like new.

I can totally agree with the opinions stated. There are few sharks where I can't find something I could improve on, but Ed's is one of them.

A well cared for, prime example of the species.

Good luck with the move Ed,

Paul

As outstanding as my (now former) '91 GT is, I would not want to park it next to Ed's.

His car truly looks like it just came off the showroom floor and the mileage he's put on proves its reliability. This thing is nearly perfect cosmetically and mechanically, certainly the best S4 I have ever seen.

Have you ever noticed that when you're not looking for another 928 that the best examples show up? I had bad timing on this one. I love white. There are few colors that show better on this car. It'll be interesting who gets Ed's car. I hope s/he joins Rennlist.

I agree on the White. The color and condition were my primary objectives. Oh, and the A/T too!! Roger schooled me on the importance of that in these cars very early on.

Ed: Remember that if you let it go, you might never find another one as nice as this one.

I have sold my first 928, which was pretty nice, in hopes to find a better one. It took me two tries with lots of searching, looking, inspecting, etc.. That was almost 8 years ago. I would think it doesn't get any easier in the future.

As unlikely as it sounds, I still hope we won't lose you!

Thanks Nicole. Can I still crash Sharktoberfest '08 in a 911?

The thought of ever replacing, or being "able" to replace her has crossed my mind more than once. I just need to shift priorties a bit here with the move, and the unknown. I'm holding out for a 3 car garage, but I don't know that if we find a great deal on a 2 car garage, that it may not happen. I also need to get a "civilian" car to drive some potentially large miles in SoCal pounding the pavement trying to earn a few pennies , so space is at a premium one way or another. The civilian car will probably serve as a tow vehicle too, as it looks like my track selection for Ruby will be a little more distant.

The eBay listing is posted, with a delayed start of 6:00pm (PST) on Sunday, 1/13. This should be the link at that time... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=200191412845
