TT problems, please help !!!
Update,
I'm on the home stretch now ! Last Saturday I pulled the bearings from the TT with a home made puller, I've taken photos and will be posting them in due time. The TT bearings (there are two in my car) were totally dry and spun freely but noisy. These bearings are installed into a bearing carrier made of steel and coated with rubber. The bearings are shielded type and not sealed type. The local bearing supplier said that the shielded bearings run cooled then sealed bearings.
This morning I had the T Converter bearings pressed out, these bearings are larger then the TT bearings and are sealed. The rear T Converter (close to the TT) was in good condition however the front bearing (neat the T Converter) was almost seized and difficult to rotate by hand. Upon inspecting the old bearings, the bearing supplier reckoned that the greased had simply dried out due to heat/ time and recommended that I also install shielded instead of sealed bearings for the T Converter. And since there was not much dirt up neat the bearing housing I decided to give it a try.
Tomorrow I will start to reassemble the TT and hope to have the car on the road by the end of this coming weekend. However I need your help once again. Can some one please give/ confirm the following Torque settings:
TT to front bell housing: ?? ft lb
TT to rear bell housing: 80 ft lb
Front TT pinch bolt: 66 ft lb
Rear TT pinch bolt: 66 ft lb
Right and Left Axle half Shafts:?? ft lb
Rear suspension sub-frame to body mounting bolts:?? ft lb
AT oil pan bolts: ?? ft lb
Thanks

Since the transmission is out have the front pump seal, bushing, o ring and gaskets changed, also install new reverse clutches which are located behind the pump. It will improve your delay reverse engagement.

Steve,
Can these components be changed at home or do I have to take the transmission to a shop ? Also where does one buy these parts from, a Porsche dealer or from one of the big three ?
Thanks
