Post 928 Registry

WooHoo...

Chuck Z. just added me to his 928 Registry…You should all get on board as we need “ONE” place we can all group together our information about our Sharks. I know...this has been attempted before but let's make this stick. It would be nice to see this information in a record keep format.

I think he should even add a “rest in peace” section for those Sharks that have passed on to better waters. I’m guessing this is the kind of information Porsche wished they had the ***** to troll for and add to their archives.

It’s also a great place for potential buyers to research a particular car they may be interested.

Chuck…hat’s off to you dude!

Hi Tim,

Thanks!!

It's been fun building the site and I currently have 402 cars in the registry. Included are 157/407 GTSs imported to NA and 52 1989 928 GTs. So much for the long rumored 50! There are approximately 1400 pictures of 1978-1995 928s including the awesome pics of Tim's 1988 928 S4 -0414.

I must say that I am kinda disappointed with the response from this list and other forums. Only a few of the people I see post on a regular basis have submitted their cars. In any case, I will solider on and gather information about 928s from where ever I can find it.

My goal is to make this the largest 928 Registry site ever and a place for people to find information as well as a source of entertainment. I don't know about you but I like to know about all different 928s and could look at pics of 928s all day (but, unfortunately I do have a day job) and not get tired of it.

Done. Just made a typo in the city field. I'm sure you can correct this.

The car with the next VIN (0103) was on Ebay not too long ago. It is silver with black interior.

Those cobalt blue and amazon green 91 models on the list will cost me some sleep. Thnk god they are manuals, so I will get over it. ;-)

I also think you are doing a GREAT job Chuck <img border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" title="" src="graemlins/bigok.gif" />

I did send some info on my car, and as spring approaches I will have some updated pics for you too. The site is a great reference point for 928 owners.

I am wondering how you are confirming "real" 1989 GT's? It was my understanding that some of them did not even have the 639 GT option code. I think the best way is to verify engine and trans numbers, since they differ from the S4's.

I just added my '81 Euro S but didn't see anywhere to select the Euro designation. Your 2 registered Euro's could use some support!

Hi Jim,

Got your registration. Thanks. I'll be doing an update this afternoon or in the morning.

I use the VIN to make the distinction between NA cars and ROW 928s.

BTW, you need to bring your 928 to the Spring Auto Fair at Lowes Motor Speedway on April 6th. The club does a big car show in the infeild on the grass at each Auto Fair. A friend of mine is organizing the event and tells me he has 3 GTSs a couple S4s amongst the 54 cars already registered. For more info contact Mike Rich at mike911@aol.com

See ya there?

Chuck:

The 928 with VIN after mine (0102) is currently for sale on ebay:

<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2404206172&category=6432" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2404206172&category=6432</a>

Just in case you want to include such cars in the registry.

Hi Nicole,

I get a lot of the cars in the registry from eBay and as a matter of fact, I added the car you mention last week.
