Hi
Interesting thread...
But....
A word of warning here....
By adjusting the maps you will do one of three things...
1, Alter the mixture ...
2, Alter the timing ...
3, Both the above ...
So...
1, Alter the mixture...for a normal car that means Richer (bad economy) or leaner = burn holes in your valves or pistons...or MAYBE you will get it perfect, but trying a map developed like this would not give me much confidence...
2, Alter the timing..... Advance = more power and risk of serious detonation = holes in pistons etc again....or retard (useful for me on Nitrous and maybe some blown cars) but LESS power for everyone else....
3, Get BOTH WRONG AND THE CAR MAY NOT EVEN START....or if it does it will run like a pig....or wreck the engine in a few miles....
I like the idea in theory, but in practice , I have seen too many race engines go bang with this sort of alteration....
To be honest , if you are going to try this, I think the ONLY safe way would be to use a Shark tuner to test....and that sort of defeats the object
All the best Brett

Brett-
This is strictly for the LH (fuel only) and does not affect timing yet.
Also, you should know this is only good upto 999HP, so I guess it won't work for you.

Looks very handy. However, when I copy in a bin file and push the "PASTE USER BIN" button, I just get ### in the LH maps and here is what I see on the bin file sheet...

Bill-
That's interesting. Usually when that happens in Excel, it's because the column is too narrow to display all the charaters - but only 2 characters should be displayed. Hmmm??? Try widening the colums to see what's being displayed. Alternatively, you can send me your bin file and I can try it myself and see what's happening. You can email me at andrewmolson AT yahoo.com

Sounds like somehow, the cell reference got corrupted - although it looks correctin your screenshot. You might try re-downloading the excel file and trying again.
I've tried it on two separate PCs (work and home) and it worked on both.
Before you you try loading your own bin file, check to see if you have the ## or the Hex value.

The cells in the center are OK before I push the button to paste the user bin.
I tried to just paste directly over the ### throughout the center working bin copy. The center bin ends up looking OK, but the LH fuel tables end up some correct, some still ###.

Got it! The #NAME? error help indicated one cause could be missing add-in. So, I went to Tools, Add-ins and checked the following and it ran!
