anyone fitted GT3 seats?
I could get my hands on a pair of secondhand GT3 seats at a reasonable price. Anyone out there BTDT and tried fitting them in their 928? I have also heard that they aren't very comfortable - but they do look damn good!
But back in the real world I shouldn't be thinking of this kind of thing yet as there are still so many ordinary things needing sorted on char grilled, but it is all still heading the right direction (and with $7000 down on repairs in the last 2 months it should!).

Are these the seats in question ?
These have the Porsche crest embossed into the leather on the upper area of the seat back. I'd love to have a pair in my car !!!
Do you have any idea what the weight of these seats might be ???

Those are the Boys! The one's up for offer are grey and have Porsche lettering rather than the crest embossed.
The published weight is 6Kg but I don't think that includes mounting rails - I would guess another 2Kg would cover them. That would make roughly 8Kg (17lbs) each installed, not a bad weight saving over standard.
Possible downsides are the comfort question; Whether the wide headrests are too intrusive on peripheral vision (what's okay for the track isn't necessarily best for the road); And these would put the rear seats out of comission.
