Post Looking for Logo

I'm looking for help with finding a good logo for our Local Dallas group.(to make t-shirts or golf shirts for our members) We wanted to do a DFW 928 logo similar to the SO-CAL 928 guys. Any ideas where to get camera ready art? SO-Cal guys got any ideas?? Thanks for your help.

Hi Chuck--

Dan Bise did our SoCal 928 artwork, and also did the NorCal logo, identical artwork with name change only. He has the Porsche block font for the text portion. He did a pretty darn good job on them I think!

Contact Dan directly by email dbise@pacbell.net for more info.

Hey guys! drBob clued me in to this thread. To clarify, I did our Socal logo and Bill adapted it for Norcal, with our blessing.

Actually, the design was created in order to facilitate this very thing - different versions for other 928 "regions", or whatever we're calling ourselves, while still maintaining a family appearance. The idea was to have a consistent portion, an original old bugger silhouette I created with "928" logotype above, with the particular region name below, spelled out in the Porsche logotype.

So you're quite welcome to borrow it and I can help with customizing it for your region as need be. Color to suit.

Here's a sample...

Thumbs up

Dan

That's it!!!! That's the logo I saw at Devek day and what we were looking for. I like the fact that you are trying to keep it uniform from club to club. We are 928 DFW (Dallas/FT.Worth).
What do we need to do??
I do appreciate the help and also to Dr. Bob for replying as well.

Hey Chuck
Ive got an idea ..Using the SOCAL form but have it surrounded/interlaced by a STAR..Perhaps a blue star with a red 928..Below the 928 write "DFW"...or "928DFW"..."BIG-D 928"..what ever you choose. In the same font as well. Ill try to draw it up when i get home from this trip.
on the way to JAX, FL <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" />

Chuck,
Let me know where you want to go from here. It looks like Tony's willing to help with the layout work and has some great ideas for you. I can send vector graphics files to him or whomever to help get it going or dive in myself if need be.

Talking

Dan and Tony

Thanks for your willingness to help out!!
I wanted to start by replacing the SoCal with DFW-streched out slighty to take up room. I'm wondering if it can be adapted to look almost like a Texas Flag (using some of Tony's star idea) Do it in red, white, and blue. Use the outline of the car as the flag? What to you think? Can I fax a scetch to one of you?
Thanks again!! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
