Default One of the most challenging Torque vs HP battles

Just before i was about to give up, someone fighting me hardest found this. I cant believe it!

http://craig.backfire.ca/pages/autos/horsepower

Almost all areas of this article are the things we have discussed here.

Nice to see someone put it in a nice neat concise package.

MK

Acceleration = Power/(mass x velocity)

Here is the thread on the racing list:

...and more specifically, area under the portion of the curve you are operating over.

An S2000 has good top-end hp, and can be shifted to stay above 6000 rpm where the good portion of the torque curve is available. That works at a track, but you tend to feel a little silly revving it like that on the street all the time.

Sure doesnt look silly on the track though (or sound silly!)

I think Hp-seconds would be the only change i would make to the article.

Shawn,
Are you saying that I look silly on approach to my residence running 6000 RPM??? I thought all my neighbors really liked my car (explaining all the stares and finger pointing).

PS I love VB/cashmere

My 6 year-old daughter did that at dinner last night from memory. I'm so proud of her.
