New member that paid!
I hope the culture shock doesn't kill you! The Bay Area is one of the most beautiful, interesting, and culturally diverse areas I've ever spent time in. I wish I were still there.
Go to school, get a job with Porshce, and desgin a new 928. OK? Thanks.
Welcome to the Forum, and best of luck to you.
Glad to "meet" you. I live in the Bay Area and would be happy to introduce you to the local shop, you might have heard of them, Devek (not sure if they have worked on 928's before, but worth a try--(note very rich sarcasm here)). If you live in the city and have no place for thorough washing please feel free to call on me for weekend car washing.
Seriously, look me up when you get in town, we'll grab a bite to eat and talk 928.

I just became a Minnesota 928 owner last fall. I got the beast out of storage for the last few days, the weather sure was nice.
I had e-mailed Kim about a twin city area 928 group, and I think I mailed you about participating. Do you guys have anything planned this spring?

Don’t you feel the love…You’ve stepped into a great crowd within Rennlist and I’ve heard nothing but great stuff about DEVEK in San Fran as they do know 928’s.

Oh yeh, about my 928. Well he's an 84 auto with the S4 look. Flared out rocker pannels, and is speed yellow. I'll show some photos later on. I have about 95,000 miles. I've bought it when I was 22 (trying to save myself from early marrige) and have owned for about 4 years. The previous owner was a f@#*@ng moron and didn't mantain it well. I tried selling the car three differnt times and errie things would happen to the propective buyers. Or it would act up until I would decide not to sell it. My 928S is strange. One time I was on a date and my tranny started to slip. I had to cancel things early. After I dropped the girl off at home and left. The car returned to normal. I later checked the fluid and it was fine. Another time with a differnt woman it wouldn't start. Only till after I paid for a cab for her to go home my 928 fired up. It runs well with my current girlfriend so maybe thats a sign. I do all the work myself (including timing belt) and recently changed the lights to the 8" H4's, Devek radiator and thermostat, new fuses, oil and fuel lines, coolant resivor which is a bi@#ch to do, rear axel boots, and so on. I hope this summer I get to drive it more than work on it. I plann to take it with me to school. I also have a 1991 BMW 535i which has been the more reliable one. I plan to keep my 928 and eventually buy another one after school. All I gota say is: "NEXT TO SEX MY 928 IS BEST".
