eBay alert
There are currently several identical listings running that are titled: "18" Boxster Porsche Wheels / Tire Pkg (NEW)" or "5 spoke 2003 996 wheels +tires Boxster S NEW" that appear to be problamatic. There have been other identical listings over the past few days that have been pulled, and the id's are NARU (not a registered user).
I cannot say these are fraudulent, but if you look at the other listings for these sellers, and you look at earlier transactions, you can draw your own conclusions. eBay has been alerted.
For those of you who do not know how typical eBay fraud works, a bad guy gets a user's ID and password (see other posts) and "hijacks" the account. They then list a lot of high-end (usually)items at too good to be true prices. Payment usually requires a MO, wire transfer, or Western Union payment, often times offshore. Money's gone, no goods delivered.
On a lighter note, there is a set of genuine GTS wheels at a fair price: <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2407734571&category=33748" target="_blank">GTS Wheels</a> These don't come up very often.
Good Luck!
BTW, I am posting this on a couple of other forums as well.
