Post The weirdest thing...

Today I finally checked for the speedo connections in the battery compartment because of my erratic speedometer. Sure enough one of the connections was covered in black grease. I cleaned and replaced and excitedly went for a drive. The speedo still did not work and my horn quit blowing. I checked the central locking system which hadn't worked since the PO had it and blow my dress up it worked.

For some reason many will concur with me. We don't want to blow your dress up.

Any suggestions on what could be going on with the horn?

I was gonna try this one, but whomever did the '84 wiring diagrams should be terminated with extreme prejudice!

Yes, they're the worst, aren't they? I'm not sure why that particular year is so bad, but they are virtually useless.

When you have electrical problems with an '84, you can look back at the '83 diagrams, or look ahead to the '85 diagrams, but you can't use the '84 diagrams.

The trick is to figure out whether the particular circuit that you are working on more resembles the '83 or the '85.
