If you're refering to the middle cover which covers the water pump, it's plastic. If there's another cover down further, I'll have to wait to do a timing belt change to get at it.
I'm just wishing I did some other stuff in nickel like my oil filler neck and throttle linkage bracket (had them powder coated grey).
