Default Need a part (928 607 115 00)

Need help finding a part number for a short extention cable that goes from the TPS (throttle position switch) to the harness on '85-'86 32 valve engines. I checked PET but it doesn't show that cable.

Anyone?

I think it might be 928 607 115 00. I seem to recall that it's NLA, new.

I left off the clip, so I can hopefully extract it, in case I make or buy a new wire.

They're quite easy to make up Shane. You just need the 3 way male and 3 way female connector parts.

I need to the replace the same TPS extension harness as well. The male connector is nearly non-existent and was held together with electrical tape.

John - I'd like to make a replacement harness but I have not been able to locate the correct male and female 3 pin Bosch connectors. Do you know of a source here in the States or overseas?

Thanks,
Adam

Hello Adam
Eagleday can supply the 3 pin female "junior timer" connector, but it is a high $24.95.

The 3 pin male part is difficult to get here, on long delivery. I have stock of both male and female parts.

I can supply a female 3 pin kit with contacts and boot for 16 USD. Male version at the same price. I would have to add postage costs so it would be bettter for someone to take a single delivery on a group buy.

I had a similar problem and basically eliminated the in line connector, soldering the wires and insulating with heat shrink. I know it makes diagnostics a little harder but there was really no benefit to the additional in line connections that I could determine.

I was able to make my broken connector work by removing it from the bracket. It can then be pushed into the other connector farther. Then I strapped the two together.

...

This doesn't help much, as the (3) position male (tab housing) is not available. But the site is a bit easier to use now. There's even a stock checking feature.

look in my old posts. I bought the ends to make the cable from a guy in England. I could go check my paypal acct if you come up empty and see who I paid. I bought all he had at the time. The cables are no longer made. The cable ends are no longer made. I bought 3 sets of all ends from the guy. The same end is used near the back of the engive also. I think it is for the crank sensor. This is going to be a major problem in the very near future.
