Hey guys,I need some thoughts and suggestions. My '84S has demonstrated some unusual symptoms the last 2 days. Wife droveit a few days ago and when she came home (roads were wet from heavy rain) there was black oily spots all over passenger side from front to back. I wrote it off as her driving through something or driving next to a 18wheeler on the hwy. But today I noticed it was a qt. low on oil since yesterdays topoff and the oil pressure guage is reading lower than usual(1.5 at idle). It usually reads about 3-4 at idle and 5 when rpm's increase. I think I'm in trouble. No oil in water or vice versa, car does not smoke a bit, Starts and drives as good as always. No oil leaks under car. Ant thoughts?

Jamey,
Does your car have oil cooler lines that run to your radiator? If so, you may want to check around the oil cooling lines and fittings. You can have the lines replaced and recrimped by a rubber hose speciality shop with a higher grade hose than Porsche uses. I don't think it is an oil pressure sending unit because that is on the drivers side.
Hope I helped,
