I have had my car 86, 5sp, for about 6 months now. I have found that the suspension has been lowered for racing and the car flys with most new cars such as Mustangs and Vets. Where would I look to see if my car has the upgraded chips and what do I look for?
Disconnect your battery then disconnect your two brains, passenger side lower right hand corner. If the chips have been replaced they should have a manufacturer's logo on the chip. Such as Auto Authority, MVD etc...
Open your brains up, take a pic or write down what you see on the chips.
Thanks John
I will take a look and see what I have. Are you planning on going to the Detroit area meet next month? I hope to have my shark back. It is going into the shop on Monday to repair the damage from the Chevy Tahoe that kissed my @##. If I dont have it back, I will have to shoe up in a oil cooler.
Yes, I will be attending this months gathering. It looks like my shark will not be finished, they have not started on the shark yet in three weeks. I am getting a little bit upset.
I had a set of performance chips from my donor shark and installed them into mine. I was pleased with the small amount of increased performance.
