928 Owner's Club
In case you are not aware, since March of 1998 there has been a 928 Owner's Club. It has a website with all kinds of information and links. Membership is a mere $28/year and there have been some neat goodies given to current members. Hopefully, as the Club grows, yet more can and will be done. Hope to see you at Club sponsored events, like the upcoming Sharkfest 2001 Gathering in Indianapolis, IN from 6/21-24/2001.

Ed, I too am a member...I think. I recieved my membership and password after attending the Wichita convention in July of 2000. But I am still not listed on the members list page on Owners Club website. At the end of last year I inquired about this and recieved the reply " sorry for the delay, we are involved in several personal projects". I have checked again today and I'm still not listed. There is no question that the conventions are great fun and there are many wonderful people that attend, including you...who I met and recieved some good tech advice from, but the website seems to be lagging behind.

The website is undergoing a complete revision. The current Webmaster is also running a full time 928 business, which underwent a major relocation, and he has only recently been able to dedicate any time to the Club's website. (Heck, he only recently updated his business website.)
All of your membership applications have been saved. As the new site comes up to speed, the membership list will be as complete as possible. (BTW, the Club is in search of an Editor for the 928 Journal. It has been over two years since it has been updated, and I hope a dedicated 928OC member will take up that challenge.)
It is hoped that the new website will be up and running very soon. The membership acceptance and day-to-day running of the Club are also undergoing revision. It is hoped that soon after the new website is operational, the Club's management will be modernized. For now, that's the most I can say about the Club's status.

Hi Ed,
Why don't you post this to the 928OC list so others will know that the club needs an Editor for the Journal?
Better yet... Tell them to come to this board. The 928OC list is so unstable.

An official message is in the works. There will be more detail for the message to be posted on the 928OC BBS.
I'd rather not aire Club business on a public website, but I will on occasion list notices, as I originally did on this BBS.

Unless you are intent on seeing your name listed you shouldn't worry about it. I joined as a 'charter' member back in--oh, 1999, was it?--and my name is not listed, either. The club operates in mysterious ways.
