Just got a look at the repair - turns out it DOES use some heat in the process, and it looks like a factory weld, just like the pic above for the low temp AL fix stuff. Guy did awesome work.

Apparently, Ford used to use the same process for their AL stuff years ago. The Shop owner said he's seen a bunch of R&S and other AL rads come in like that. Seems to easily fix them in short order.

Best $150 I've ever spent, cept for a tank of 101 octane and that German chick in TJ...
