I have been reading the list for over a year and have never posted...So out of guilt I joined Rennlist today and will have to give you my first post. I have a 88S4 5-speed with sport package and put a Vortech T-Trim and Intercooler on it.Its now running at 7.5-lbs of BOOST and Dynoed at 425-rwhp. I just received a s/c pulley from Tim that will increase my BOOST to 12-lbs and put me well over the 500-rwhp mark. My stock..(RMB).. Dyno pull before the S/C was 289-wrhp."GO GET YOUR CAR BLOWN" Its a wild ride!!!!!!!!!

Welcome aboard Blown Beast. Glad you finally decided to join in. I think you'll be pretty happy when you get that pulley from Tim on there.

Blown Beast,
Thanks for speaking up.

I can see that soon there will be a few 600 crank HP 928s running around.

I predict that Tim's kit will raise the value of the 928.

Welcome Blown Beast! I've known about your car as Tim has talked about it. I'm glad to know it's running so well!

German title states it makes ~480hp - have not dynoed it yet - but it damn well spins the 335 rears

Bill:
From what can be seen of it, that looks like an interesting air intake setup you have there. Any details?

Reported by Tarek is a mysterious white S4 with a single turbo. Lives in the vicinity of Tarek.

Tarek please add updates on this.

All I have is the memory of pictures, and the word of the owner.

'88 S4 5 sp turbocharged (not confirmed if single or twin). White with stock wheels. Winner of many concours, according to owner.

Long Island area, NY. Will keep an eye out at local events for it

Boostards,
I sure would be nice if someone with some web site skills would build a site just for us. Or maybe a site for custom 928's in general..
Hmmmm.......

First stock 86.5 to be successfully supercharged and driven on the street extensively with a positive displacement setup (AFAIK)

86.5 w/ 5spd tranny and over 220K miles on the clock (poorly rebuilt 50K ago)
SUPERMODEL Eaton M112 (Jaguar) Positive Displacement @ 5PSI (est)
No Intercooler
325rwhp (est)
SMT-6 fuel and ignition control

Daily driven hard on the street for about 15K miles (1 year). NO failures resulting from the SUPERMODEL kit.

[edit: added reliability info]

I guess I have two of them -

a supercharged and intercooled 78 CIS K-Jet 5 speed, supercharged in 2001, raced and street driven for 4 years. Engine being rebuilt for racing now. we were told this was the first supercharged CIS car in the world. Supercharged with what is now referred to as the 928 Motorsports Stage 3 kit.

a supercharged 79 CIS K-Jet 5-speed that we took to Wichita and dyno'd 300 HP in front of everyone at the 928OCIC on only 6 psi of boost - from an engine that produces 219 HP stock (M28/03 motor), I am finishing a Stage 2 upgrade on this car and will be re-dynoing it soon, then putting it up for sale.

I have other customers of our kits that have not posted or are not Rennlist members.
