Overwhelming response, thank you everyone for your compliments and questions. Of course its the holidays, so its abit hectic, but in the next day or so I'll try to get some other pictures of the car up to elaborate on the changes I've made.

I am located in west central Florida, so yes nice weather for the car almost year around!

The hood is a custom designed and made hood. Made of fiberglass after taking a mold from a NACA duct I had, and a spare hood(not the original hood, no thats being stored safely, of course, lol). Its nothing I'm sure you haven't seen before, but it has a subtlety aggressive look to it I think which I like....The duct itself is functional to route cool air to the engine if you want it, however I am still finalizing the routing now. Cooler air of course means more horsepower! I made the hood though because I think most are rather disappointed with the lack of custom hoods on the market and the price of an original hood replacement. While a prototype(first design/build), the hood is maybe somewhere around 5lbs heavier than the original hood, but significantly stronger. You don't have the flex and fear of bending the aluminum as you did in the original hood, which is nice IMO.

I made the foglight covers, because I think it looks stealthier and also if you break one of the lights....as I did, its simply a cheaper alternative to buying a new one, especially if you wanna autocross and drive the car on track, where you might risk them anyway. Also I believe they may help avoid laser....but thats a theory and...luckily, not tested yet!

Nice catch on the rear spoiler Ryan! I wasn't sure if it quite came through in those shots, but yes, I've have made new mounts for the rear spoiler, making it more aggressive with its rack and such. To be honest its more for looks, the original spoiler created a surprising amount downforce as it was(ever left the spoiler not locked down, then driven with it? lol), and this new angle of attack to the spoiler is quite abit more than the original.

I'll be back with more pictures and such later if I have the time, otherwise after the holiday. Thanks again everyone for the response, great to see, thanks and if I didn't answer your question yet I apologize! Cheers everyone!

Very interesting modifications here! It would be interesting to see how you routed the air under that custom hood!

You seem to be quite an artist with fiberglass. Is that just a hobby, or do you do this kind of stuff for a living? I could think of quite a few potential products for our sharks that could be made of fiberglass...

Funny that you say the rear spoiler has downforce. While I personally would not drive my car fast wthout it, lots of people here would disagree with you. There was even a loooooooooong thread about rear spoiler delete... it has since become the "new thing".

Keep us updated on your modifications!

Pasco County......So about 80 miles south of Ocala, and 40 miles north of Tampa.

Thank you all for your comments again. Unfortunately no new pictures at this time, mostly do to the fact that everything on my car is not finished or refined, they are prototypes. Things I've created, under the hood, the spoiler extensions, a cover for the rear seats, etc, were simply ideas I came up with, mocked up, have in my car, but now need to be refined further if there is going to be interest from you all. As you can see from the consoles I've developed and am offering(sorry for that BTW admins!), I am open to producing items if people are interested and open to any ideas anyone may have for modifications. However beyond the consoles atm, nothing I have created is up to the quality in which I would feel comfortable releasing. That being said, I believe its only a matter of time and when I do reach that point, I will keep you all informed, I think your enthusiasm is inspiring for sure

I am in the fiberglass business, I've been in the business since I was 13 years old, so considering my age, thats well over 30 years. I've had my own business and I have an extensive catalog of past products, none however pertaining to the 928 until this time.

I noticed a thread a few weeks ago about the spoiler and was actually surprised at how many did not care for the spoiler and were removing it, not sure if that is the thread your referencing? I quite like the look of it, and its aerodynamic benefits are obvious. Whether the additional angle of attack and extension I've created is overkill or not, I can not be sure of course. Thats down to wind tunnel numbers IMO and to be honest I would have to imagine that Porsche had sufficient reasoning for the rake and positioning they produced the car with. But....being the person I am, why not? The additional downforce can't hurt, there is no autobahn or any autocross course that I can imagine would stress the top end on the car enough to strive for maximum velocity, and of course....it just looks cooler IMO

The other significant modification I have made is a fiberglass cover to go over the rear seats. TBH, I found the rear seats to be completely, and utterly useless. Unless you have small children and your car is one badass school caravan vehicle, I personally have never understood how those seats could be useful for an adult. Its a two seater in my mind, and so that is what I basically modded it into. Its a simple cover that goes over the existing seats without any real modifications to the interior(no damaging the interior), its molded to fit nicely over the seats, pretty much as simple as that. It makes the rear space of the car look more uniform and such. Thats a WIP ATM and next on the to be completed list hopefully.

The hood is on the back burner at the moment, because considering what is under the hood(which will remain a mystery for now) and the development of the routing for the duct, its considerable work and development. Additionally as far as the hood is concerned, I'd like to make a pure fiberglass hood(no ducts, or anything, purely stock config.) mold and possibly from there develop some other hood design variants, which that specific idea is well down the line.

Any other questions or comments let me know, sorry for the lack of pictures again, but those will come in due time. As for whats under the hood, all I can say is that it is the original lump, but beyond that its hard to explain and I'm gonna have to keep that a mystery for the time being. Sorry!

Cheers!
