I have had all of the cars that I have bought in the last 12 years checked after I bought them, only found dope in one of them, coke and smoke in the Corvette.
It is a good idea.

You know...this brings up something I've thought about when buying a used car, particularly a 928. For those with friends in law enforcement, I wonder if it would be a good idea to run the new purchase past a drug dog. If there's anything illegal hidden in the car, it would seem better to find out that way rather than at a random traffic stop where your innocence is much less clear.
Many years ago I was pulled over, along with a number of others, by "the bear in the air". There were at least half a dozen of us, and as I waited for my warning ticket (thank you State Trooper's Association window sticker! ) the troopers ran drug dogs past everyone's vehicle. Now, I had owned that particular car since new and don't use drugs, so I was unfazed by it. But thinking back now, what if I had been in a used car with someone else's leftover merchandise in it? How would I prove my innocence?
