Post MIA Posts by Snowball?

I find it odd that after every time Snowball gets the answers he wants, the entire thread he started seems to disappear. I'm assuming he's having problems with posting, so here's that CarFax info he had requested in case he still needed it:

Send me the VIN number either here or off list and I will run it. I have something like 45 days left.

Basically it looks like a nice set of wheels. I can't fit in that vintage. That riser at the door sill makes it hardf to get my large butt in and out. Car not named to provide anonymity. Good luck!

Cool

Hi Snowy, Randy, and All Sharks:

Sorry Snowball, but Randy has a really good point. Your posts are valuable to us. When we respond to solve problems, we hope that we are helping the group, as well as you. We often spend a lot of time, research, experience, etc. on our contributions. When someone deletes our responses, it disrespects our generosity. I sincerely hope that we can help you and others again in the future.

We look forward to the stimulation. Keep up the good contributions.

YMMV,

Wink

Max, Randy, all concerned,
Not an endorsement or pinch hit...
Definitly, gonna be long, wipe if you want to.
Points well taken. But!
Don't think Snow is going to be moved by the request.
You can buy MCSE training guides out of Barnes and Nobel, take courses at the local Community College, or just learn to Hack the old fashioned way thru a friend and getting smoked on the web.
In any case, this issue is rooted a ways back...
is it not? I believe all was well until that time. When we hang our butts out there on
the Net being paranoid is no longer the issue...
not being paranoid enough is!
Yeah! I lost a lot of pointers, especially, when Snow got to working under the Great White, so now I save to numbered disk's.
His call on privacy! Not ours!
And if you haven't noticed Reno/Justice Dep't never gave us a decision on Raptor. The Senate and House took over and, predictably, let the matter disappear. Since the 9/11 event the system has been running at 88% which gives it enough capacity for scanning/recording ALL E-mail,every cell call, every land line call, all and I mean all Sat. calls world wide. It's for the public safety don't you know, and all GOOD, law abiding citizens have nothing to fear...blah, blah, blah.
Unfortunately, the Supreme Court has decided with the exception of National Security and Clinton's tons of lost E-mail that what goes on the net 'is not private and is to be considered for all practical purposes to be PUBLIC!'irregardless of your perception of what a private communication is.
By the way, even out here in Podunk, Texas the cameras are going up at intersections.
Initially, for traffic sensors only, then the cameras appear a while later for traffic safety only... Then scanning business sections of town, then, those drive up phone boxes, then who 's driving around at 2 or 3 in the morning...
Oddly, the gimbals and motor drives are already installed when the units are mounted ...hmmm. After these cameras are up for awhile, like Raptor in the courts, the point becomes MOOT. The Police/City Traffic control just do it...they don't ask the public.
Then the system just expands FOR PUBLIC SAFETY. You know the face recognition software, ect...
The Supreme Court, recently, gave ALL Law Enforcement the go ahead to pull you over on
hunches, feelings, whatever and its legal NOW.
Identity theft numbers are climbing like Aids victims in Africa, slamming is not decreasing, and those authorization slips to use your data from retailers/insurance/medical/and yes even the DMV doesen't cover what they already shared with third party data bases. You know ... the other day I was doing my annual check on Cults and except for LYCOS the Lumenatti seems to have disappeared except for new trade names. And any reference to the stalled Church report on child/sex slavery/murder by some extremely old money/high Gov't officials in the Nebraska/ Oklahoma area has totally disappeared which is just as well I guess since the investigators by and large all seem to have stopped breathing wether or not they they uncovered anything. BTW this last one went into closed session and NEVER came out again. Selective archiving you suppose?
And since - word has it - Snow got into the Rennlist to remove his posts' and threads anyone could...
Bottom line it is not that difficult to do back up disks on the board though time may be consumed. I open the posts I want to copy and just do it.
In the end its different strokes for different folks he has his side to the story you have yours
nobody is REALLY hurt by this issue so let's just live with it. In the meantime, keep your powder dry, keep a spare hard drive -pre loaded-, an industrial electro-magnet and a small oxygen furnace handy... you never know.
We may all be friends here, then again, we all may not..
All concerned: there is yet another Red 928 RMB in Midland, Texas that makes it Four- never see them crusing at night and its pure hell trying to chase a 928 with a GMC Crewcab, 4 fat guy's,and tons of welding/acetylene/hoist equipment.

John-

Excellent points regarding 'private' information and the 'abilities' of the Police.

Step back for a moment and look in - yep, if you're a law abiding citizen you have nothing to fear per se. But - who knows what law you may be breakiing today, and be brought up for to prove your not guily on?

I have a buddy that got crossed up with the powers that be - investigators went thru his house on one charge - found nothing related to ther initial charge, but did find other questionable items. Bottom line - he spent 3+ years in the Fed Pen system. He later told me this-

Is it Justice - or Just Us?
