Brendan, not to rub any salt in the wound, but perhaps it was always meant in a complimentary (if begrudging) way. All those wasted years only to find out you were the man all along.

Not being an elitist, I have removed the linked pic and added the actual photo. Sorry Dudes, that you weren't able to see it before was unintentional.

H - nice!
Tom - sweet! Those look like SRD's? I'm considering Sparco A4's to get more headroom in my S4.
Harvey - we should round up the boys and have a PacNW dinner or something since you're in the area.

I was harsh. That word is like when McFly from Back to the future is called a chicken - immediate and direct response.
Nice Seats H. Those newer ones are cumfy.
Matt - every single upgraded part of powdercoated orginal part has migrated to the repainted 78. When that car is done (its finally on the ground, rolling with brakes and trans and suspension), I will have exhausted my small empire of cool parts. At that time, I may put up the white flag and lease a corvette.

Heinrich jumped on that GTS deal like a rat on a cheeto and it sounds like he's working overtime to make "perfect +." His new seats sound great. If those are half as nice as the leather dash in GZilla, they will be an outstanding addition. The 928 is so timeless in design and technical execution, it can be modernized a little bit and made into a car that will compete with about anything on the road...for relatively little. The GTS just makes it a bit easier to modernize.
Or, if one "pulls a Shane" with the 928 engine, you can then whip the Farraris and Lotuses that I keep seeing around here. On his next build, Shane really should add Dr. Ott's wide fenders and humongous wide tires though. Even with that, Louie's monster still has trouble keeping from smoking the tires during shifts. Shane is a bit less restrained so I'd pay money to see him burning up the track in his next project.
I'm in Seattle helping to fund the next iteration of the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. I didn't have to sell my '85S (best car I've ever owned) but I had to downsize and the best stuff seems to sell first. Just sold the Audi TT here in Seattle last week. It sold the 2nd day listed. So I'm down to just the Silver S4 and 968, both in winter storage. If I can figure out how to fit pontoons, I might bring a P-car over to Seattle.
There was some talk of a general 928 get-to-gether in the Seattle/Portland area. If this comes off before Jan. 18th, I plan to be there.

Hey H, nice looking seats. Make sure you have the manual controls installed if you are going to wire them in to function. If the memory switches are installed the wiring is not capable of powering the seat motors. I built brackets to allow 996 seats to bolt in, we put some in a widebody a couple of years ago and they are great. If you do it the way I did they tend to sit a bit high, with some more work I'm sure I could have gotten them to sit lower.

Thanks Shawn ... Dave, I installed 996 Sports into Godzilla about hmmm a year ago? And they are sitting fine, in fact at their lowest there is almost no space for my hand underneath. Adjusted all the way up, they are very high ... it's a manual adjustment on those. So I remember i think, how to modify the rails. These seats are definitely my favourite, I will of course have the raff leather originals from the GTS to sell soon
Take care and give Garrity a bonk on the head from me

WTF is it with people coming up with that freaking version of my name. You know, just as an FYI, and to be candid, my life was hell, absolute, suicidal-thoughts inducing hell from 4th grade on until the beginning of College because of that word. The only thing that helped me keep it together is that I knew I was smarter than most of them, and I still am.
H is also a very intelligent man, and he knows he is simply keeping the 89 for when it is required in this time line again.
