Can anyone tell me if this is an LSD and it will work in my 1989?

part number would help-----

should stamped on the outside of the small end (not the ring gear end).

Ring gear must match pinion gear. This means automatic pinion gear will fit into automatic only and manual to manual only. Then there are year to year changes too like three different types of manual gearbox pinion shaft setups. Anything can be made to fit anything else but work needed will be too much to make any sense what so ever in some combinations.

Thanks for the headsup. I found it on craiglist for $350 offered as an LSD
