Thanks all, I'm very excited to get the car. My wife is excited too, not in a good way!

It does look nice! Can't say I was in the marked but when this came up I had to give it a shot. At this point I want to get it mechanically up to speed. Paint and other things will have to wait!

Vilhuer - The steel wool and baffel were coming out so I pulled them out all the way. It doesn't sound as nice as my 88 with the small intermediate mufflers and RMB so it will be swaped out! Is the RMB rare, I may keep it on this car.

Cheers,
Glenn

Hi Glenn, How far are you from Baltimore? I am in Gettysburg Pa. and would love to see that car! Maybe we could schedule a meet with other local owners so we can gawk at your 928.

Kevin,
I'm in Southern Maryland, about 2 hours south from Baltimore. Still need to tag and title the car. I'm waiting on the title from the owner. They wanted the check to clear before sending it.

Rennlist member, TBF checked fine, Strosek, $13k and you should have no problem selling that baby (to please wife).

Are you going to SITM?

Congrats...

Haven't missed one in the last four years! I'm looking forward to having something a little different.

did your own PPI, drove it home, and no title?

did I read that correctly? waiting for the check to clear but let you have the car anyway?

I'm not criticizing you and your methods, but that's just strange.....

if the check doesn't clear, is he going to put out an APB for repossession halfway up the coast?

I must be confused-----

Friend just bought '88 S4 automatic which has this same RMB. Or RMB is somewhat false name to it as there is very small muffler in it I think. His car has German TUV paperwork included which explains this. Straight pipe would probably be too loud for German authorities.

These are not super rare but its part of 928 history as its correct to period tuning part when S4 was new. With correct German paperwork it might be worth something to German owners as it should still pass their local inspection without problems. US RMB setups can cause problems there.
