Ed,
THANKS for the link - added it to my favorites - I will look into this one!

Paul,
Factory Manual Seats....hhmmmm....didn't even think about that option either. Have you tried the electric seats for comparison?? Just wondering how much additional headroom can be expected with the manuals vs electric. Then, of course, my next question will be what's the headroom difference between factory manual and the racing type that Ed has been looking at. I wonder if any tall folks have tried all three?? THANKS for the info!

I need to take another look at the factory sport seats too. Maybe I can get down to see Tom M since he has them in his GT. I sat in the passengers seat, and they felt great for support, much better then stock. I don't really recall the headroom sitch, could be because we were ripping our way to lunch and I was checking out the caravan of 928's and the Aston Martin that was with us.

It would be nice to keep a stock look, but the sport seats are few and far between, and spendy.

I do recall Paul Champange talking about offering a sport seat conversion, but not sure if he's doing that. That would also be spending, but worth it as his quality appears top notch.

And I took some measurements before I installed the race seat. Stock vs the fixed back Sparco. I'll see if I can find them and post them. The measurements are not exact, but it might help some.

It would be nice to get some measurements from a sport style seat.

Maybe a new thread asking for clearance measurements of the different seats?

Right on, Ed! Thanks for the offer to take measurements. I like the idea of staying factory, IF it has adequate room. If the only way to get "adequate" room is to go non-factory, I'm ok with that too.

Good idea on posting a new thread....I'll get it goin'
