Chase HQ - The police Porsche
While in LA this weekend I found this in a small arcade:
The game is called Chase HQ, from Taito in '88. You drive a custom black 2-speed (yup, machine has a level to select hi or low gear) 928 to chase down the bad guys and ram them into oblivion. Only an OK game, but it was nice getting the chance to shove others out of the way with my 928 and not have to suffer the consequences.

I bought Porsche unleashed for that very reason, great game, until it screwed up my computer like nobody's business and I had to nearly empty the hard drive. I even got to thinking about how to replace the lousy game sound with a sound clip from the real car.

I also bought Porsche unleashed as well as the the force feed back steering wheel and pedals. Let me tell you, if anyone thinks these games are kids play, step off! This game is INCREDIBLE! I don't know how it is with out the force feed back wheel but on my system, you can actaully feel the handling nuances of the different Porsches! The Boxter is nuetral (and a little under powered), the older 911 has thottle contolled over and understeer, the AWD turbo has just phenominal throtle response. Even the sounds of each car is different and convincing. The games video , motion and feedback are based on the newest physics model and it just sucks you into the action.
I must have over 200 hours on this game and when I need a kick, I still go up and play. I've tried other driving games and this is by far the best (and not because I own one).

NFS:PU isn't as good a game as other NFS games like High Stakes or Hot Pursuit...

I got NFS:PU for christmas. I was disapointed that i had to download cars. I mean i want a GT1 and a 935 Moby Dick. Its not on the website right now. I did get the 928GTS and immediatly felt at home. I beats everything on the road in the game. The car i've had the most trouble mastering is the 356. Man that is a tail happy car. Worse than the 911's.
It was a pain in the a$$ to get it working, but once i did it was ok. I still like EA's Sports Car GT game much better and still play it more often.
As long as were on games here. WTH is up with MS Flight Simulator costing almost 80 bucks. Is it really that good now?
