Default DEVEK

I want to know what you guys think... I ordered B 1 cams from Marc and Susan at devek back in june o7 and was told they were shipping june 12 to 14th ..So I sent the remainder of the 50% owed... I have yet to recieve any cams but have been told as recently as oct 10 they were shipping oct 24th....but still no cams...I have left messages and email with Marc and Susan but yet nothing...

Is DEVEK officially out of Business, And If so I hope I am the only sucker out any money... Just a word of caution.. Hope everyone else didn't fall for their line .
Andy

Patience Andy. Alot of patience and understanding will be required.

Is your family member okay? Last time you and I talked you were leaving town to help out.

Have a good holiday.

i guess you never saw my post 18 months ago.

Definately par for the course here, sad to say. I wish they would stop taking orders that they cant fill though. I get really irritated though when i hear others speak of the same things i went through, with empty delivery dates and so on and so forth, they are just flat out lies.

Good luck

Yea, here we go, but we should be posting daily as I hate to see people in a helpless state getting screwed.

I stopped doing business with Devek years ago, when then you did get your items shipped, but after lie after lie, after lie!

supposed to ship in June, then in October. HELLO, it's December. i think this guy has been WAY more than patient. waiting that long for anything after being told it would ship is borderline insane.
dispute charges and file complaints. get your money back and pay when they do what they say they'll do.
better yet, take your business elsewhere to someone that appreciates it.

good luck.

ya know this is crazy. the thing is, this is just what we hear here. we are a very small part of 928 owners and their customers. you have to wonder how many they have upset?

As a new 928 owner I researched the suppliers prior to purchase to see the cost of parts and who out there had the best products and who were the 'tuners'. I saw DEVEK all over the place in ads for cars etc.., and then went to their website which is essentially not functioning. I was actually surprised at their lack of presence and was underwhelmed by their website. I guess it told a story.

Why do people do business with these clowns? With all of the threads posted I can't believe they are in business still. I am sure the same excuse about being busy and something to do with the kids and all will come up.....

so what's the real story?

has anyone physically gone to Devek's place of business to see if anyone is still there? (I haven't kept up on this...)

if so, what's their story?

What you see at www.devekperformance.com is just a temporary home page. It's not intended to do anything as it is. They have a complete website, including online store, ready-to-go. It just needs to be populated with text content and product info.

I haven't been there in months, so I can't tell you what's going on these days. My best guess is that they just don't have enough time and resources to deal with this right now.

I wish someone would buy the company and bring it back to its old glory...

Along with new family comes the responsibility to bring home a paycheck...I guess Devek wasn't cutting it and now he has to do the daily 9 to 5 grind. Oh well...at this point its not that much of a loss..even though I really did enjoy those early devek days...

Later,
tom

Wow, pretty interesting that there is no mention of Devek and all his so-called accomplishments in the 928 world! Plus, many of the listed accomplishments with other companies overlap the Devek history.

He still posts from time to time, maybe he will chime in with this post, but I won't hold my breath.
