I am having a high beam problem with my 79 euro 5spd. My low beams work fine, the problem is when I flip the lever to make the high beams come on, the pop-up headlights completely go out and the lights in the bumper are the only ones that come on. Then when I flip the lever back the bumper lights go off and im back to just the pop-up low beams.
Also, is there a way to "tighten" up the pop-up headlights? I get a lot of road vibration when driving.
Thanks

Sounds like you have a bad hi-beam relay and/or blown hi-beam fuses Curt, or possibly burned out high-beam filaments in both those sealed beam pop-ups. Easy to test for. See your owner's manual for which relay/fuses to check.
If your pop-ups jiggle, you probably need to replace the bushing(s) that the light bar passes through, plus install a new plastic positioning bracket. Also, make sure the lights are fully seated in the ball and socket safety holder - hard to describe but easy to figure out once you remove the pop-up 'covers'.
Get those hi-beams workin', then let's tackle the 'loose' lights.
