Warning - not all big reds kits are created equal
Folks,
We have been shipping Big Red and cup car brake kits for many years and reconfigure as required for proper operation...revise calipers for proper directional performance. This is the benefit of proper R&D.
IF you have bought them from other sources, make SURE that the bleeders and directional arrows are "pointing" in the correct direction. If you do it yourself, be sure to be careful not to strip the fittings.
This procedure is included in our all our kits.
Good luck,

Just got back from out of town and saw your message.
Evidently you were not properly informed by us at the time of purchase that
you need to swap the bleeders and crossover pipes for use on a 928. It has
always been our policy to make sure anyone who gets these 993 calipers to be
informed of this necessary change. Unfortunately it was omitted or forgotten
in your case ( and Ed's earlier this week), this was an oversight and I have
made darn sure everyone here is aware of this for the future.
We had elected to inform purchasers of this issue instead of making the swap
for them in an effort to keep prices as low as possible (ours seem to be
priced at least $100 less than others) for such a simple task that is only
slightly more difficult than bleeding the calipers.
As exampled by the recent mistakes in communication we will be changing our
policy from informing our 928 friends about this mod to doing the mod for
free and still keeping our low price the same.
> Is my ire misplaced here or what???
Absolutely not, our sincere apologies for our part in this mistake. Let us
know what the bill is from your mechanic for swapping the bleeders and I
will reimburse you for the costs.
Sincerely,
David Roberts

Thanks Wally,
You know how it is, you develop a product, work out the "bugs", as in this case the caliper change for rotational direction, and lo and behold, some folks copy the idea not realizing that there are mods to be made!
This is not the first case or time, nor will it be the last
Oh by the way, are those $88 rotors actually "factory" or OEM? If so, what a deal!
Regards,
Marc

Wow. Marc, cut the crap. It's not like you've got the patent on making mods to a car.
