Default '90 exhaust bung trivia

I was nutserting and cleaning the rear undercarriage this afternoon in anticipation of some major work over the holidays. I was looking at the cat section of the exhaust with an eye towards figuring out where to put an extra bung for a wideband sensor, which I will do while R&Ring the TT (Any thoughts, anyone? Bueller? Bueller?).

My '90 does not have the little blue-capped test ports adjacent to the air cleaner, so I presume that these two little vestigial bungs are leftovers from that? What's weird is that the drivers side has an M8 x 1.00 bolt in it, while the passenger has an M8 x 1.25 hex bolt in it. Are/were these something else, or just leftovers?

Pics are not working, and I would just install it in one of the runners up to the manifolds on a factory Cat setup.

Photos are working for me, just slow to load. What all do you have planned Rob? If you need an extra hand, let me know.
