By-Pass Brake Pad Warning Lights
Anyone have a step by step to By-Pass the Brake Pad Warning Lights? I know I need a rear harness, but am hoping to get rid of the light being on for the time being until I tackle that job. Pads are good, problem was intermittent, but now light on all the time.
Any instructions for replacing the rear harness?
Thanks,
JG

You need to find the "open" in order to "close/short" it.
Try cutting the sensor wire(s) close to the plug and twisting the wires together there. (NOT the harness side) Also, remove the plug(s) while you do this. Sometimes removing and replacing these plugs helps them make a connection that they weren't making.
Shorting the brake-pad wear sensor wires defeats the warning system with no effect on the braking system.
Opening all 4 of the ABS sensor wires defeats th ABS warning system and kills the ABS function but has no effect on normal braking.
