Default 928 Wheel Quandry...

So I have had my Shark for 2 months now and have had most of the issues sorted, there are a few items left on the list, however I am breaking my own rule of nothing cosmetic until its mechanically sound. Having owned the shark for 2 months, I am not sure I can wait that long

I have a little spare cash and want to buy some new wheels, does anyone know what 1997 (ish) 993 wheels look like on a 928 s4? Any suggestions for a good budget wheel? I initially wanted 3 piece, however cannot currently afford them..

Thanks in advance..

Mark

Ha! I swore the same thing up and down. 3 sets of rims later, I still haven't finished catching up on the PO's deferred maintenance.......

Stick to your rule and resist the urge to buy wheels if you have only had the car for two months it is much too soon to think you have it nearly sorted out....you do not even have a functioning heater !

russ , i didnt see the green colour in your car previously - nice! are you thinking of adding aero mirrors?

mark, change the wheels but dont skimp on the tyres when you do. go for a good set and if you can afford original porsche wheels so much the better - they are lighter weight and balance better as well.

I would sell my 17" 993 style wheels: they are powdercoated and probably a similar color to your car.
Interested?
Dr.Nick is right about good tires. A good place to spend money.

Wouldn't these 993 rims be the same (or at least the same style) as the oem rims on this '94/'95 928GTS? I have these on my '91 S4 and really like them.

Same look but aren't the offsets different? I thought the GTS wheels got a wider tire under the fenders.
