Microfiche Workshop manuals
we have recently got on the net and have been reading about the manuals for the 928 and have several times read about the microfiche version on the manuals as we are in australia we cannot get the manuals or microfiche at all as porsche will not sell them to the public!? importing manuals from the states is an enormous cost hencewhy our interest in the micro option,we however have had no luck so far in obtainig them,928 international also cannot provide them to us as,if any one out there has any ideas or knows where we can obtain the microfiche version please let me know,we are in the final stages of the conversion of a LHD to RHD and really need manuals. "82 928 thanking you for any assistance in this matter

Cor Boon,
Unfortunately, Porsche won't sell the manuals in countries that don't require it to do so by law.
Not a good way to win friends, but it just serves to create a work around.
You should be able to find the fiches on eBay (www.eBay.com). They usually go for somewhere in the ~$35 USD range. I have purchased a few bicycle parts from the land of Oz, and have had no problems shipping to the States. I would assume it should work the other way as well. Cost of shipping was very reasonable, and if you just get the fiches, you should be able to get shipping for under $15 USD.
Or, perhaps someone else on the list has a set they don't need. (Afraid I don't have any more extra sets, or I'd send you one myself.)
Good luck,
Greg

The microfiche version of the Workshop Manuals have been discontinued by Porsche for over a year.
No idea how much longer the hard-copy manuals will be available.

...and just as well. As a not-so-proud fiche owner, I can say that compared to the paper version they unequivocally SUCK. I tried to go the cheap route with the fiche; the price will cease to be an issue the moment you try to decipher the wiring diagrams.
