Default Anyone know the size? (and thread pitch for the oil drain plug - RV)

Anyone know the size and thread pitch for the oil drain plug? Does it equal an "AN" (army/navy) size? I'm working on moving my drain from the strainer to the pan. I want to change the drain plug to a fitting.

They are not all the same.

Some good info here:

78-79 and some 81's are 22mm. The rest are 19mm

Can anyone verify that the 19mm S4+ oil pan drain plugs are M12x1.5? I'm looking for a VDO temp sender that'll fit. They make many different sizes that would work with a variety of adapters, but it'd be nice if a VDO 323092 would just screw right in:

I think the gauge size of M12 = the diameter like the oil plug size is 19mm = the diameter, so the diameter of the sender would need to be 19mm... I think?

Great link! Hey while were on the topic of thread size, does anyone know what size the threads are for the oil sender?

I have a VDO 150 psi gauge but a stock Porsche sender. The stock sender pegs my VDO gauge. I need to get the correct VDO sender but I don't know the size.

I have to go OT for a moment. The kids are deer. It started a long time ago, but Education has taken a seat in the back of the bus due to No Child Left Behind. While it doesn't clear my impatience w/them, they don't know what priorities are let alone how to deal w/ it. A lot of what is "education" in the real world is now relegated to trial and error and is what you are seeing across the counter.

Carry on.

I call that "Too Many Happy Meals". I should write a book based on this subject. The kids want that instant gratification of the toy with out the effort of the work. If you can tell them what you need they look it up. If they have to actually research it, well that's when you get the look. It's all our fault as a society and as parents!
