Obviously not a Porsche fan upstairs. It would have been so much easier to just wreck the deer.

I'd say that car has delivered its last pizza.

Not remembering is sometimes a blessing. I binned my RC51 at a trackday in Spokane in 2002 and ended up sitting in a chair waiting for my ribs to heal for months. I shattered *all* of them on the right side. My friends told me I actually did try to get up once, not sure if it was before or after I passed out. I remember nothing but being loaded into the ambulance (I think) and my lung being re-inflated. It took 3 hours of surgery to get that far.

I was on morphine for a month (!) and remember very little of that entire time. My head actually cleared up nicely when I moved to vicodin! Then I spent two days in morphine withdrawal. ugh.

I've ridden twice since, once when I put what was left of the RC51 together to sell, and once on my Triumph before I sold it.

Hope Lord_Galva's recovery continues well, it is a LONG road, and it sounds like he was messed up even more than I was. I'm still sore every morning, and when it rains, and I really bloody hate airline seats.

Read his thread that H2 linked, he has no memory of the crash. Insurance agent thinks it was a swerve to avoid a deer, CHP thinks it was droving too fast.

I think I'd stick with the deer story.

BTW, I don't think now is the time to try to talk him into any car. He has enough to worry about IMHO.

Hiya Sharkies!
Not being able to remeber is driving me insane. But I try not to think about it, and instead I just remember all the great times I had. Which is alot considering my job kept me in the car 5hrs a day. Then all the close calls I had with deer on my favorite road Cantelow rd. Funny how the accident happened 2 miles away from it though.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...9645&z=13&om=1

Point A is the start and Point B is close to the end. Point C is where my accident happened. I usually turnaround at Pleasents Valley or go north to 128. I never go that far south, and that's whats been driving me crazy. Why the Hell did I drive there?

Once I have bought another 968 I plan on having a BBQ and a fun-run down that route to Berryessa.

Good idea Jim. The venison should be well marinated and tenderized. Yummy. Skewered with a Porsche. Bumper Bambi is good but I'll bet Lord_Galva wishes he'd acquired pavement possom or "grilled" rabbit instead.

To think of all the possum, snakes, and deer I've avoided on Cantelow.
