Post Partwerks again.....

Ok...so I usually do not complain like this...but I think there are some weird things going on there in Chicago. I called about my missing part on thursday. Well, they failed to tell me that the part I ordered was not available because the manufacture was making the parts all wrong. So, I guess they just expected me to read their minds and wait another month to get something that was suppost to be at my door in two days. He told me that the he could send me one of the parts that was made wrong, and I could have it modified to work. I told him no thanks, just give me a refund on my credit card...I already sold the car it was suppost to go on. He said he would if it had not shipped to him yet from the factory, and quickly hung up the phone. Well, 2 days later I got the part in the mail...and it was one of the bad ones! He lied to me, took my money, and sent me the part that was manufactured wrong, and I did not want! I think this is a great place to let people know not to make the same mistake I did and trust them with my money. It might be ok if it were a rare thing, but this has happened to me twice with them, not to mention that they lied, took my money and gave me a bad part. STAY AWAY FROM PARTWERKS! Go with 928 international!

Well, Their ebay history is very funny. 61, (that I saw) bad or negative repsonses out of about 1900 sales. Simple things like seat handles, something-or-other clips and that sort of thing.

I have visited this place. Please do not buy from them.

While the prices that we are given from the big three are not ALWAYS the best, they are 97% of the time, and when you give the ubiquitous Jim or Tom at 928intl, the bubbly Jeannie* or Dave at 928Spec, or the lovely Susan at Devek a call, you know you are talking trustworthy people.

I have had the distinct pleasure to visit two of the three places I have mentioned and has always been a very informative adventure (in a good way).

*I am specifically speaking about Jeannie and bubbly - I have no idea about Dave's bubbles.

iantdopps - Did you pay for it using Amex. If you did, just go online or call them and ask for the complaint resolution department and send back the part and you WILL get credited your money! Works every time for me and I have never had a problem since using AMEX for everything. They have saved me way over $20k in disputed refunds!

You silly guys

Why do you put yourselves through this pain when we already have three good vendors to support...although their not always the cheapest You can trust them all to respond to your needs...(some faster then others)

Lets see...you got Wally and his bunch out Midwest brewing moonshine or whatever they do in those beautiful backcountry states... 928 Specialists

Jim, Mark and the gal down Southern California sun tanning, bikini watching (not the gal) and filling 928 orders till their tan’s fall off… 928 International

O’h…and that group up North that I razz so much (or at least till I need their help)
over being mad at some individuals for screwing up other people’s cars while trying to supercharge them instead of just buying their stroker kits ect…(which none of this is any of my business) but it’s fun…O.K…let’s see…blow the dust of this catalog…O’h ya… Devek

So my point is…let’s support the big three. Once you wad through all the crap posted (mine included) about whatever with a big three name attached…in the end…they all (the big 3) deserve our support!

God…you know…I’m beginning to think I do my best work before noon

Ya, sure Tim....... you're just lookin' for some free parts!!

Truly, though, it's hard to beat reasonable prices tied together with expert advice, even if NOBODY can find me a new seat!!
