Looks like all 89 used 928 602 116 00 where 88 used 928 602 115 00 which is why the wire sets are different for the coil plugs.

Thanks Jim. The end of the coil wire that plugs to the distributor cap will fit the new coil, but the end that I originally unplugged from the old coil is a solid piece that pushes down into the hole in the center. I'm guessing that what is on my car is actually the 115 part number.
My upper radiator hose rubbed through the sheathing on the positive side of the coil and grounded it out, causing a mess in my CE panel. I've got all of that repaired, but now I'm stuck again until next week when I can reorder the correct part.
