You're right. In fact around here they're 2 quarters. I guess it has simply been so long since I have been in jail and needed to borrow a dime.![hiha](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/roflmao.gif)
Well, you understated the situation. I am so old I can remember when Chevron gas was 25 cents a gallon and custom supreme was 50 cents a gallon and we all carried siphon hoses in the trunk.![ducking](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/icon107.gif)
(we were poor but we had to have wheels, right?)

SoCal Girl,
10 MPG is much too low for that car. I would strongly encourage you to have your mechanic check it out and it will probably need just some minor adjustments.

Geeez Ron----
don't scare her out of her.......Porsche.
talk of bondage.....OOOOPS!
sorry, wrong thread.
Yeah, it's expensive...but it's well worth it, aren't you SC girl?
try diesel fuel at $3.40 per gallon here in Texas----where oil is king?
then try 3 miles per gallon......in my Peterbilt (gross weight 200,000lbs).
Just enjoy the fact that you have a ride that gets more attention than the run of the mill ricer/tuner POS......and that's reason enough to stick your nose up and the teeny boppers!!!
enjoy!!!

Dunno what you guys and gal are complaining about... ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
If you filled up your cars over here, you'd have to pay exactly twice the amount socalgirl mentioned per gallon...
I get around 15-16 mpg in my GT, in mixed driving that rarely takes me above 75 mph.
Cheers,
Erling

Socalgirl... Baby... Everything will be ok... Come here and let me hold you.... Aww yes.. it's ok, I'm only getting 11 mpg... Life is never made easy for beautiful people like us... we must always suffer more and pay more while all the average folk are living large at our expense.... Don't fret, I'm here if you need me.

OK ..."Therefore, engine braking would be the most economical method of braking as there is no wear and tear on the braking surfaces" last I checked transmissions and clutches cost more than brakes and are harder to change. Plus most people tend to blip the throttle on down shifts often use less than full engine braking while slowing so you maximise gas milage by coasting and anticipating lights far ahead of you...

Re-title this thread (if you still can) along the lines of "What MPG do you get with your L-Jet 5-Speed".
You might get some comparative data points.
I tabbed-out your emissions results so that I could see them in columns. They seem pretty ok. Nothing obviously way out of wack.

I have never checked my MPG, For three reasons. 1. I am scared it will make me feel guilty to drive it. 2. I didn't buy it for its economy, 3. I'm scared it may be less than expected and my paranoid self will have to try to fix something that might not even be broken.
