VIN in ad is too short. Correct one is WP0AA2920RS820100 as shown in picture. There is no mention of engine fire in ad but Chuck's registry mentions it without giving more details.

I wonder if the gentleman selling this car is the same one who used to have a '93 GTS 5 speed I test drove in Davis a number of years ago. It was when he first bought the '94 silver GTS from back East and he wanted to sell the '93. Since I drove my '93 GTS A/T there, he just handed me the keys to his car and let me take it for a ride. I couldn't convince my wife I really NEEDED two GTS' though, so I didn't buy the car.

If 1 is good then 2 is better right???

That does look like a VERY nice GTS....I love the color combo too...the blue interior just matches very nicely with the Polar Silver...very clean

The engine fire is a concern...will need more details on that!!

Default Excellence Cite

The correct cite is 41,000 for an excellent '94.

The 46+ is for a '95.

Brian go for it!!! Own a piece of history!

You can buy a Vette anytime you want, they will always be readily available. A beautiful GTS (5Spd!!) is very very hard to come by in a good color combo and good condition.

Very true.....I'm sure this GTS is stunning in person..... But after just buying my house 4 months ago...$$$ is a tad short...... I also have my sights on a 87 5 speed track car project in the next couple months!

I dunno...maybe I'll call the guy?

There was a timing belt done at 16,500, which is the one you're referring to. But later he says another TB/WP job was done around 41,000 miles, so early this year (judging by other maintenance items and dates).

Having seen a 5 and a 7 year old, low mileage belts and not really being able to see noticeable wear on either, I wouldn't use that terminology. BUT I wouldn't drive it aggressively w/o a close inspection of the belt and the gears, at least not after I paid for it.

I wonder..... Is this "King Doodiehead's" GTS?

Any PorscheFans old timers remember the color of The King's car? (Chuck? Sterling?)

I ask because he had engine fire after he R&R'd his injectors. Seems he didn't lube the o-rings and one leaked. I was told that the insurance company bought him a new engine harness (amoung other things one would assume.)
