Default someone in SF bay area buy these wheels

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/pts/484088366.html

no affiliation, just found them on CL.

These wheels are MADE for the 928. They don't look right on anything but a 928, or maybe a 996/997 but far better on a 928. Man they look fantastic with those cars. And I'm no expert, but I think this is a good deal.

They'll fit but the 997 Carerra III wheels fit better and come in an 8" fronts and 10" or 11" rears! I opted for the 11's with 295's!

I also vote for the CIII wheels (not like I'm biased or anything).....better front offsets with an 8" rim allowing 235/40-18 tires.... the 10" rear rim will allow up to a 295 tire while the 11" will allow up to a 325 (which they don't make in 18", so a 315)..... Mine are direct take offs from a 2006 911 with 235/40 fronts and 265/40 rears conti sport contact II's....great tires....handle VERY well.....but the rears are a touch too tall at 26.3"

I've got the 997 wheels also. A lot better fit in the front. I think Bill B had some of the Boxster wheels.

Default 997

They fit well but will opt for a 30 series next time around, 265/40 are too tall for my liking.
