I have a '91 Euro GT. I bought it 4 or 5 months ago. I sent away to Porsche for the carfax info and it finally arrived. I was so excited to finally have those mysterious option codes decoded and to confirm if I have a linen color leather interior (to do some touch up).

What a disappointment. Not only does the carfax not account for the entire option list, it lists the interior as Leather in Color to Sample (which admittedly it could be - but there is still no excuse for the partial option list).

According to the PO, it was a Porsche exec car. I believe him due to the fact that it is a German spec car with all leather interior, the rootwood interior, the Porsche crest in the seat headrests and the 'radiophone' stereo with GSM phone built into the radio.

Anyway, I am still trying to determine the color of my interior to do some leather touch up. My next idea is:

Is there anyone in South Florida that has a 928 with a Linen color Interior? I still believe it is linen. I could meet you this weekend to compare.

Although I don't live in Florida, my car came from there.

In addition, although my interior is now Black/Yellow - it was originally Linen Leather/Carpet. It would be a very attractive combination IMHO - if it weren't so hard to take care of.

Sorry I'm not any closer to compare notes, much less have the original interior - but I can describe the color. It it not White, but rather a creamy off-white which also reseambles a bleached beige.

I thought I had Linen interior and even bought some Linen dye. From a picture, Nicole told me it was a special order silver gray - she was correct.

I would like to see that interior also and I am sure Nicole will tell you the correct interior color .

Do you have the sticker under the rear cargo mat? The code should be on it or the sticker on the door jam. For pics, ask Brent on this board, he has my old GT with Linen interior.

I have the Linen interior. It is an "off white" and a pain to take care of. I have the linen floor mats under the red ones I bought as the dirty shoes kept he floor mats in terrible shape. The linen interior is pretty when clean, but......!

Thanks for all of the replies.

I have the build sticker with all of the options listed. The exterior color is identified, but the interior color is listed as 99 which is special order.

The descriptions and pictures lead me to believe that it is linen. I do realize, however, that what happened to Jerry could happen to me if I don't verify it first. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Nicole, I know that you would like it because it is is Amazon Green Metalic exterior. I will try to post some pics this weekend.

Bill, I just replaced my linen (I think?!) carpet for black. It looks fantastic. The all leather linen (I think?!) interior - which covers the dash, pod, steering wheel, door panels, roof, seats, rear panels etc looks alot cleaner with the black carpet. It provides a nice contract and matches well with the traditional black items like speaker grills, center console stuff, door handles. Again, I will post some pics this week.
