Hey everyone... I would love if someone can recommend someone to help me with the following:
A. A good look over of my 84' 5 speed 928!
B. To create a plan of what I will need to have performed on the car over a 12 month period.
Also, what wax can I use after I wash it?
And last but not least I have a wood steering wheel, what can I use so it wont crack/chip?
Thanks guys
PS. Ive benn informed to follow Nicole around, so I can get in on the tech group...wooohooo cant wait to learn!

Not sure if there's any 928 guys in Temecula...?

Many of us like RejEx for wax.

I go up to temecula sometimes for various reasons, and maybe I could bring up an IBKevin, or a Mongo, etc and we can give you some free, but good pointers on what the car needs. I can usually feel and see about 7 things wrong with each older car I get into. Its a gift. I am able to inform people of things months before anything blows up.

He can also sense when someone is about to have a seizure. He's about .600 with lumps in the breast but with more practice I expect he will improve.

Ah hell, when you get within 500 feet of a 928 every part falls off

There are a ton of folks not too far from you. I know Temecula is off of the 15, but if you hit the 60, you are not far from other 928'ers. OC has a ton of folks and I know Bob would have know issues giving you some help if you wanted to make the drive to Glendale. Give this thread a day to season and you will have more folks willing to help then you can decide on.

You might as well ask what oil to use...

Lots' of different "opinions" on that subject.

But I will agree with Keith (928ntslow) that by far the best I have found is:

http://www.ultracarcareproducts.com/...arcare3001.htm

No affiliation etc etc just a happy customer.

They even gave me a 25% discount when they found the shipping to Alaska was "a Little extra"!

Maybe some of us in the San Diego area should get together and organize a tech session & maybe yet another winery bash combined -
I'm sure the folks at Bernardo Winery would let us use their parking lot.
Anyone up for it?

Th erest of the year is pretty solidly booked with the holidays and the little flower-themed street parade and football game stuff we do over in Pasadena. Winery visits and SD visits, at least for me, will be put off until mid-January some time after we get all the beer bottles swept up.

All that said, don't wait up for me or any of the rest of the L.A. group such as we are.

LM-- A word or two of friendly advice. Brendan can undoubtedly help spot problems with the car. Ok to let him look at it, but for your own sake don't let him take anything apart.

Hey, I took the entire rear end of the S2000 apart on Saturday, and it was done and together for my trip to Sacto on Monday morning. Its possible, but when powder coating comes into play, it takes time!
