Weeell, it would be "to[o] good to be true" if that applies. (:
No way to be sure w/o dyno proof on your car. It clearly is a knock off, kind of blatant IMO. Does Autothority deserve $400 for a piece of silicon and their proprietary work? Dave Roberts has an established return policy, what will you go through if you try to return these to Rancho Cordova, CA? I'm running chips but I don't think I got 25 horses, and the buttometer is notoriously high. But it has not been dynoed either.

Those look like the original Autothority labels, and that also looks like original packaging. Can you get 25 horses? My S4 doesn't feel that much stronger, but rumors say that the earlier 32V cars give better return on your chip investment. For $135 it's not a huge risk.

It's not really a rumor. It has been discussed many many times.
The early 32Vs ('85-'86) have a very conservative tuning. They don't have a knock sensor so the factory tuning is not even close to optimal. Out of all the 928s, the early 32Vs respond the best to chipping. My '85 was noticably faster after the chips and this was proven at the drag strip. With only the ships the car was faster by 0.2sec. Since the actual gain can be really felt I woudl say the 25hp is right on the money.
However a clone copy of these chips can be bogh for $40-$75 on ebay. Mine is a clone.

I figure the increasing availability of the SharkTuner will result in a fair number of former-AA-chip users having a no-longer-needed set of chips on their hands.
Someday, I hope that'll be me too!

Does it get any better then that?
Yet another way the Shark-tuner helps all enthusiasts.
Us lunatics get customer-tuned chips. And then we sell the AA chips we had been using at a big discount to folks who didn't have any chip at all. Everyone wins!

If the car is mostly stock, I highly dout that the Sharktuner can do better than the chips on the early 32Vs. 25hp for under $100, is something that nothing, up to date, can touch.
I agree with the others. They look like the authentic AA chips, and about a year ago, I upgraded by S-4 from AA chips, and sold the authentic AA chips for $100 to a rennlister. $135 is not a bad deal
I have a line on a set of allegedly brand new AA chips for $200. Should I bite or Sharktune? Supposedly Sharktuning is "coming to the masses" but I'm the impatient type...
I saw the S4 set of AA chips on eBay, but that seller has some scary feedback, including a couple of folks claiming the chips did damage to their cars. The image is also too fuzzy to make out whether they're really AA chips.

The SharkTuner is now available to tune 85/86 US 32v LH/EZF and also Euro 16v LH/EZF.
In a few weeks we are hoping to have comparitive results of a US 32v with stock, AA and SharkTuned chips, as measured back to back on a dyno.
As IMo000 says, the real gain on the early cars comes from the EZF chip.
