Got home safe and sound. Left work early to beat the rush.
I just bought the entire first season of Star Blazer's on DVD for my uh....kids---all 26 episodes. I used to run full speed all the way home from school to catch it by 3:30. I don't know what hit me, but I was just staring off into space recently and the name just flashed back to me. A ton of kids who are now in their 30's and even early 40's probably remember watching it. I'm sure it won't be as good as I remember, but I wanted my kids to enjoy it as much as I did growing up.

Off topic: It is never the same when you watch childhood shows later. I did this with Speed Racer and was a bit disappointed.

A couple of years ago I was walking out to the parking lot with the pricing guy (I'm the sales guy, we were always in conflict and had a bad relationship) and when we get to the 928 he says, "what, did you lease that?" He obviously thought it was new and was pissed that I could afford such a thing. I just said "No", fired it up and drove away. It was a really satisfying work moment.
