I think you are in need of another estimate (unless you liked the first one!).

Although the pic you posted may not indicate all of the damage - I would tend to think that this shop is focused on the Porsche emblem on the bonnet.</STRONG>
The problem was that they only wanted to use NEW parts from THEIR supplier.

I'm still having problems with the insurance co. They have budgeted $8500. It might be done for that amount, but it might not. Either way, I want to know why their client is 100% responsible for the accident, but the insurance co. think that they can get away with only paying 70-75% of market value for repairs. My understanding in this situation is that they must make me whole. Repair my car up to the condition it was prior to the accident or, if that is too much, replace the car with one that is in the same condition as mine was prior to the accident.

Good luck with the insurance company. I've heard anything from 50% to 65% of the value in damage is what it takes to total it. $8500 would total it if you go by the "Book Values". We all know those numbers aren't reasonable.

I'd get detailed estimates from a couple of other shops. Your local PCA members can probably point you toward qualified shops.

Again, $8500 is the insurance companies low budget. The adjuster likely gets compensated on how often he closes with the low number. Don't make his Christmas Bonus for him. You are holding all of the cards since it was his fault. Take your time and be patient. Isn't your neck sore now...
