Post Performance Chips

What kind of performance chips do you 928S4 owners use? Do they actually make a difference for your type of cars? If so what is the performance gain. What chips should my we stay away from?

Thanks

Hi Dan

I can't help on this one as there aren't any avaliable for the 16V cars (I would like to be corrected here!). But it would be interesting to hear your view and if they have made a difference on your cars.

Cheers

Hello Dan,

You might want to click on the "search" link located in the upper right area of this screen.

Enter the word: chip

It may take 30 seconds or so for the search results (a couple minutes with dial-up).

You'll get several archived topics containing frothy discussions over the use of after-market chips.

(Coincidently, I have a brother named Dan in Grand Rapids - actually Rockford, a 'burb of GR)

DaveW,
Yes the chips do actually work for the Porsche 944 Turbos. Some cars have been boosted close to 250rwhp. There is a guy on the internet who dynoed all the different chips for the Porsche 944 Turbo and has posted dyno charts. I'm sure someone on the 944 board has the site.
