Question 9 in 928 fell off my shark!

After a good run and swim (wash) the 9 in 928 on the back of my shark just fell off! Anyone know where I can get a replacement ? Thanks for any suggestions.

Look up Nicole here on the forums, or go to hooked-on-cars.com. she's a sponsor here and has some great products.

Hi ELJC:

I have rear bumper lettering in both the "rectangular" Porsche font style, as well as Porsche script style. They come in a variety of colors - what color is your 928?

Take a look at www.hookedoncars.com under "Porsche" - "928" - "Lettering and Decals". PM me with any questions you may have!

Would that also apply to engines with blown headgaskets?

Anyone know where I can get the rear bumper "PORSCHE" stickers these days...AND the "928S". Seems I can't find them on Ebay anymore.

Hi Andrew,
Guess a little weight saved is better than nothing, even if only temporary!?

Nicole,

You really got me confused - too much choice of lettering on your website! I am just looking to keep the shark (1995 GTS) as close to original as possible. I have just lost the "9" in "928 GTS" but obviously might as well replace them all (I know, the last of the big spenders!) - any idea which one of the multiple choices you offer is the closest to the orginal? And, are these just stuck on with crazy glue, nailed with 6' nails or just persuaded on? Thank you.

The letters I have are a bit different from the factory lettering in that they have the full backside consisting of 3M trim adhesive (no nails or crazy glue involved). I have not heard of any of them falling off, ever. But it would not look great to just replace one letter with mine - you should do the full "928GTS" lettering.

What's the color of your current letters? I can offer black (in stock) and custom order clear coated synthetic silver nickel, steel or bronze flex (those have a fine brushed structure under the clear coating), real authentic carbon fiber, red, yellow, blue, green, white. Or you can paint them in any color you want. They are $7/each; custom orders take about 3 weeks.

To get the OEM numbers, call 928 International, 928 Specialists or drop by your local Porsche dealer's parts counter.
