Default Anyone in DC/Balto have scales? (free beer)

Anyone in the Baltimore / DC area has a set of scales that I could use to weight my car. Trying to get a baseline before kicking off a weight reduction project. Payment by 2 cases of the beer of your choice. No need to loan your scales out, I will come to you or we can meet ½ way. Thanks!

Take it to your local garbage dump and run it over the scales they use to weigh trucks. There won't be any charge and it will be as good a reference as you need. Just make sure your fluids are all full and make sure you're nude so the variable of different cloths doesn't mess up your calculations!!

yup, the dump will work or some wrecking yards have a drive through scales too, also there are scales at truck stops as well. You have many options!

I can't think of anybody local with scales. If you want accurate numbers (although not free) several people were happy with the corning weighing done by Funktion Auto in Dulles, VA. Otherwise, go to the dump or an agricultural co-op.

Also some distributors of stone (landscape stone, flagstone, boulders, etc.) have drive-on scales that are accurate to within a pound or two. There's an Irwin Stone in Frederick, MD that has one for instance.
