Post Rear Height Adjustment Problem

Having gotten the front ride height adjusted to about 168mm on both sides I'm in the process of raising the rears.
Contrary to what everyone says I'm finding the rears much harder to adjust than the fronts because the nut is shallower and the drop link is in the way. I finally found a tool that will grab the nut, but the spring perch and spring tend to turn even with liberal application of WD40.
I'm trying to do the job with the rear wheels up on ramps, so the suspension is still loaded with the weight of the car. Does anyone have any experience doing it this way, or does everyone remove the wheels first? I've already read the Nichol's site and the UK site.

Never mind, The correct answer is to unload the suspension.

Even unloaded I found it VERY hard, used a 2' water pipe extension, damaged knucles, blisters etc. After winding the nut up more than 0.5" I still couldnt detect any change in ride height after settling. Gave up until I pull them and get them refurbed (Bilsteins), and clean the threads etc.

JP,
After all that work to go 15mm on the nut I'd BETTER find a change in the height or I'll install a set of those rear end cheater bars. Did you measure from the correct reference points on the suspension? It SHOULD have made a diference.
